Job Summary:

The MEP QA/QC Inspector is responsible for ensuring that all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing works at the site comply with applicable codes, standards, project specifications, and quality requirements. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the delivery of high-quality MEP systems and verifying that installations meet the approved design and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct daily inspections of MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) works at the site. Ensure compliance with project specifications, engineering drawings, and applicable codes and standards. Review and verify material submittals, method statements, ITPs (Inspection and Test Plans), and shop drawings. Witness and verify installation, testing, and commissioning activities for MEP systems. Prepare and maintain inspection reports and ensure proper documentation of all QA/QC activities. Raise non-conformance reports (NCRs) and ensure timely corrective actions. Coordinate with the main contractor, subcontractors, and consultants on inspection requests (IRs). Monitor site activities to ensure implementation of the quality control plan. Participate in internal and external audits. Verify and ensure calibration of testing and measuring equipment used at the site. Assist in the preparation of final handover documentation including as-built drawings, test reports, and O&M manuals.

Qualifications & Skills:

Diploma or Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related field. Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a similar QA/QC role within MEP construction projects. Strong knowledge of international codes and standards (e.g., ASHRAE, NFPA, BS, DEWA/ADDC/DM regulations). Familiarity with quality management systems (ISO 9001:2015). Good understanding of HVAC, Fire Fighting, Plumbing, Electrical, and ELV systems. Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and QA/QC documentation tools. Strong attention to detail and analytical skills. Excellent communication and coordination skills.

Working Conditions:

Based at construction site/project office. May require extended working hours depending on project deadlines. Frequent interaction with engineers, contractors, and quality teams.
