The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the planning and scheduling of all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) aspects of our construction projects. The role demands a detail-oriented professional capable of coordinating multiple activities, managing timelines, and ensuring project milestones are met efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, update, and maintain detailed project schedules for all MEP activities.
Integrate MEP schedules with overall project timelines and ensure alignment with construction plans.
Plan and allocate resources, including manpower, materials, and equipment, to meet project requirements.
Monitor resource utilization and adjust plans as needed to prevent delays.
Track and analyze progress against schedules, highlighting potential risks or delays.
Provide regular progress reports to project managers and stakeholders, including recommendations for corrective actions.
Work closely with MEP engineers, project managers, and subcontractors to ensure seamless project execution.
Facilitate coordination between MEP works and other disciplines to avoid conflicts and ensure efficiency.
Identify potential scheduling risks and develop mitigation strategies.
Address issues proactively to ensure that project milestones and deadlines are achieved.
Prepare and maintain comprehensive records, including schedules, progress reports, and change management logs.
Generate reports for stakeholders on key performance indicators (KPIs) and project status.
Ensure that all MEP planning and execution activities comply with contractual, regulatory, and company standards.
Stay updated on best practices and new technologies to enhance planning processes.
Qualifications and Experience and Skills:
Experience:
Minimum 5-8 years as a Planning Engineer, with specific experience in MEP construction projects.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in mechanical/electrical engineering or related field.
Certifications:
PMP or equivalent certification is an advantage.
Skills:
Proficient in planning tools such as Primavera P6, MS Project, and other scheduling software.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for coordination with multiple teams.
In-depth understanding of MEP systems, construction processes, and project management principles.
