Job Summary:

The MEP HVAC Maintenance Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of HVAC systems and associated mechanical, electrical, and plumbing components. The technician ensures all equipment operates efficiently, safely, and in compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

HVAC Maintenance & Repair

Perform routine preventive maintenance on HVAC systems, including AHUs, FCUs, VRF/VRV systems, split units, chillers, and exhaust systems. Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults in HVAC systems. Repair or replace defective parts such as motors, compressors, coils, fans, and thermostats. Ensure proper airflow, refrigerant levels, and system performance.

MEP Support

Assist with basic electrical and plumbing-related tasks connected to HVAC equipment. Perform troubleshooting on control panels, sensors, and electrical connections. Coordinate with the MEP team to ensure seamless operation of building systems.

Safety & Compliance

Follow all safety procedures, including lockout-tagout, PPE usage, and hazard reporting. Ensure compliance with UAE local regulations, company policies, and manufacturer standards.

Documentation & Reporting

Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and equipment status. Prepare service reports, maintenance checklists, and inventory updates. Communicate findings and recommendations to supervisors or facility management.

Qualifications & Skills:

ITI/Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or HVAC Technology. Minimum 2-5 years of experience in HVAC maintenance (MEP experience preferred). Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, refrigeration cycles, and electrical basics. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals. Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Physically fit to handle equipment and work in various site conditions. Basic computer skills for reporting and documentation. Good communication skills and ability to work independently or in a team.
