Claywatt Construction is looking to strengthen its technical and project management team by hiring a competent and detail-oriented

MEP Estimation Engineer

. We are seeking a professional with a deep understanding of UAE MEP systems, pricing structures, and authority compliance, with a particular focus on villa, townhouse, and low-rise projects across Dubai.

About the Role

As an MEP Estimation Engineer, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection works. This role involves interpreting tender documents, coordinating with suppliers and subcontractors, and supporting project teams during bidding and budget preparation phases.

Key Responsibilities

Analyse tender drawings, BOQs, specifications, and project requirements for MEP scopes Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and cost estimates for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, drainage, and firefighting systems Source quotations from vendors and subcontractors and evaluate for compliance and pricing accuracy Prepare technical and commercial submissions in coordination with internal departments Support the project team with budget validation, value engineering proposals, and cost revisions Coordinate with authority-compliant MEP teams to ensure estimates align with DEWA, DCD, and DM regulations Maintain and update cost database for materials, labour, and subcontracted services Identify cost risks, exclusions, and clarifications within each scope

Candidate Profile

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent qualification Minimum of

5 years of MEP estimation experience

, including at least

3 years in Dubai

working on villa and low-rise construction projects Proven understanding of UAE market pricing, authority requirements, and procurement trends Hands-on experience preparing estimation documents for DEWA, DCD, and DM-compliant projects Proficient in estimation software, AutoCAD, and MS Excel; knowledge of Candy or MEP-specific tools is an advantage Strong analytical and documentation skills with keen attention to cost and scope precision Excellent communication and negotiation skills for vendor and internal coordination UAE driving license is preferred
