Job Summary

The MEP Estimation Engineer is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems for construction projects. The role involves analyzing drawings, specifications, and tender documents to determine material quantities, labor costs, and overall project budgets while ensuring compliance with client and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Review tender documents, drawings, specifications, and BOQs for MEP works Prepare detailed cost estimates for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, firefighting, and ELV systems Perform quantity take-offs and material take-offs accurately Analyze supplier and subcontractor quotations and conduct technical & commercial comparisons Coordinate with design, procurement, and project teams for clarifications Prepare value engineering proposals and cost-saving alternatives Assist in tender submissions, including pricing, technical queries, and clarifications Update cost databases and maintain estimation records Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits when required Support project team with cost control, variation pricing, and final accounts

Required Skills & Competencies

Strong knowledge of MEP systems and construction methodologies Proficiency in estimation software and tools (e.g., Excel, PlanSwift, CostX, AutoCAD) Ability to interpret MEP drawings and technical specifications Good negotiation and analytical skills Strong attention to detail and accuracy Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or related field Professional certifications (preferred but not mandatory) FEMALE Abu Dhabi base

Experience

Minimum

3-7 years

of experience in MEP estimation Experience in residential, commercial, industrial, or infrastructure projects preferred

Working Conditions

Office-based with occasional site visits May require extended hours during tender periods

Pay: AED3,000.00 - AED5,000.00 per month
