to oversee the design, coordination, and execution of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems for our construction and engineering projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing detailed MEP drawings, ensuring systems are compliant with codes, and coordinating with various stakeholders to ensure timely and efficient project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:Design & Drafting:
Prepare detailed MEP drawings using AutoCAD and ensure compliance with project specifications and local codes.
Develop layout plans for HVAC, electrical, fire fighting, and plumbing systems.
Revise and update drawings as per design changes and client feedback.
Coordination:
Collaborate with architects, civil engineers, and other consultants to integrate MEP systems into building designs.
Coordinate with contractors and suppliers to ensure installation and procurement are aligned with design specifications.
Conduct clash detection between MEP systems and other disciplines using AutoCAD (or BIM tools if applicable).
Site Support & Supervision:
Provide technical guidance and support during installation and commissioning of MEP systems.
Conduct site inspections to ensure adherence to design and safety standards.
Troubleshoot and resolve design or construction issues on-site.
Compliance & Documentation:
Ensure MEP designs comply with relevant standards, codes, and regulations (e.g. ASHRAE, NEC, NFPA, local authority guidelines).
Maintain accurate documentation, including drawings, BOQs, technical submittals, and reports.
Prepare As-Built drawings post-completion.
Key Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.
3+ years of relevant MEP engineering experience in construction or consulting.
Proficient in
AutoCAD
; knowledge of Revit MEP, Navisworks, or other BIM tools is a plus.
Strong understanding of HVAC, electrical, fire protection, and plumbing systems.
Familiar with local building codes, standards, and authority requirements.
Good communication and coordination skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
Preferred Attributes:
Experience in high-rise buildings, commercial complexes, or infrastructure projects.
Knowledge of sustainable design principles and green building codes.
PMP, LEED, or other professional certifications (preferred but not required).
