Job Summary:

The MEP Engineer is responsible for overseeing and managing the maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems across residential, commercial, or industrial facilities. This role ensures optimal performance, safety, and compliance with relevant standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Preventive & Corrective Maintenance

Plan and execute preventive maintenance schedules for HVAC, electrical panels, plumbing systems, and fire safety equipment. Diagnose faults and perform corrective actions to restore system functionality.

Technical Oversight

Review and interpret MEP drawings, specifications, and manuals. Supervise technicians and contractors during maintenance and repair works.

Compliance & Safety

Ensure all MEP systems comply with local codes, standards, and safety regulations. Conduct routine inspections and audits of systems and equipment.

Reporting & Documentation

Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, service reports, and equipment logs. Prepare technical reports and recommendations for system upgrades or replacements.

Coordination

Liaise with clients, facility managers, and other departments to ensure smooth operations. Coordinate with procurement for spare parts and materials.

Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering. Minimum 5 years of experience in MEP maintenance. Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, and fire protection. Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems). Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.

Preferred Certifications:

UAE driving license (if applicable) DEWA / ADDC / Civil Defense approvals (as relevant)
