We are seeking a highly experienced and technically proficient

MEP Engineer

specializing in

General Maintenance

. This is a pivotal leadership position responsible for overseeing all operational aspects of our MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) services for general building maintenance, including preventive and corrective maintenance, repairs, installations, and client relations. The successful candidate will possess deep technical knowledge of MEP systems, strong leadership abilities, and a

proven track record

in managing teams and projects within a facilities management or general maintenance environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the day-to-day operations of all MEP maintenance, repair, and installation projects across various facilities. Develop and implement efficient operational procedures and best practices to ensure high-quality service delivery for general maintenance. Manage scheduling, resource allocation, and logistics for all maintenance field teams. Ensure compliance with all local regulations, health and safety standards, and industry best practices related to MEP systems. Provide expert technical guidance and troubleshooting for complex MEP systems (HVAC, electrical distribution, plumbing networks, firefighting systems, BMS, etc.). Supervise and train maintenance technicians on proper MEP maintenance, equipment troubleshooting, and repair techniques. Conduct site inspections to assess asset conditions, identify issues, and recommend appropriate solutions. Oversee the procurement and inventory management of spare parts, tools, and equipment. Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of technicians and support staff. Conduct performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and identify training needs. Foster a positive and productive work environment focused on teamwork and continuous improvement. Prepare quotations, technical submittals, proposals, and specifications for new maintenance contracts or projects. Ensure that the services provided are of the highest quality and in line with company service standards. Identify opportunities for service improvement and contribute to the development of enhanced maintenance offerings. Conduct toolbox talks with the Technicians.

Skills:

Minimum of

5 years of extensive experience

in general maintenance and engineering within a facilities management context. In-depth knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical distribution and plumbing networks. Demonstrated experience in project close-out procedures, including defect identification and rectification (snagging), system commissioning and acceptance (takeover), and comprehensive documentation for client handovers. Strong understanding of building management systems (BMS) Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals. Familiarity with relevant local regulations and international standards for building services and maintenance. Ability to estimate maintenance projects and material requirements. Valid UAE Driving License is essential. Proficient in using MS Office Suite. Fluency in English (written and spoken) is required.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
