The ideal candidate will ensure that all MEP systems are integrated, cost-effective, code-compliant, and aligned with client objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Review and validate MEP design drawings, calculations, and specifications.
Provide technical consultation and recommendations during project planning, design development, and execution.
Coordinate with architects, civil engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure integrated system designs.
Ensure compliance with local building codes, sustainability standards, and industry best practices.
Conduct site inspections and MEP system assessments during construction and commissioning phases.
Identify potential design or construction issues and propose cost-effective solutions.
Prepare technical reports, risk assessments, and feasibility studies as required.
Support procurement efforts by reviewing equipment specifications and vendor submittals.
Assist in value engineering, energy efficiency strategies, and system optimization.
Stay updated on emerging technologies and regulatory changes relevant to MEP systems.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering (Master's preferred).
Professional Engineering License or equivalent certification (e.g., PE, LEED AP, PMP) is an advantage.
Minimum [X] years of relevant experience in MEP engineering and consulting.
Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical distribution, fire protection, and plumbing systems.
Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD, Revit MEP, HAP, ETAP, or similar.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and project coordination skills.
Familiarity with sustainability frameworks (e.g., LEED, ASHRAE, or ESTIDAMA) is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with high-rise buildings, hospitals, data centers, or large-scale infrastructure projects.
Prior involvement in green building or energy modeling projects.
Multidisciplinary project experience in consultancy or EPC environments.
