Job Summary:

We are looking for a qualified

MEP Electrical Engineer

with experience in

interior fit-out projects

to oversee the design, installation, coordination, and execution of electrical systems. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements while working closely with other disciplines on-site.

Key Responsibilities:

Review and interpret

electrical drawings, load schedules, single-line diagrams (SLDs), and shop drawings

related to fit-out works. Supervise and manage the

installation of electrical systems

, including lighting, power distribution, low current systems, and emergency systems in fit-out projects. Coordinate electrical works with other trades such as HVAC, plumbing, civil, and ID teams to ensure smooth project integration. Ensure all electrical installations are compliant with

local regulations (e.g., DEWA, ADDC, DM)

and international standards (e.g., IEC, NEC). Prepare

BOQs, material submittals, method statements, and inspection requests (IRs)

. Attend site inspections with consultants, clients, and authorities as required. Identify and resolve technical issues and ensure quality workmanship and safety on-site. Monitor project progress, prepare daily/weekly reports, and communicate timelines and issues to the project team. Work with procurement to ensure timely delivery of electrical materials and equipment as per approved specifications. Test and commission electrical systems and ensure proper documentation and handover.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in

Electrical Engineering

or related field. Minimum 4

years of experience

in MEP electrical works, with at least

3 years in interior fit-out projects

in the UAE or GCC. Strong knowledge of

MEP coordination

and integration with ID works. Familiar with

local authority regulations

(DEWA, ADDC, DCD, etc.). Proficient in

AutoCAD

, MS Office, and electrical design tools (e.g., Dialux, ETAP - optional). Excellent technical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Strong communication skills in English (Arabic is a plus). Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple projects. UAE driving license preferred.

Preferred Skills:

Experience working on

commercial, retail, F&B, or hospitality

fit-out projects. Knowledge of green building standards or energy-efficient systems (LEED, Estidama - optional).

Pay: AED5,000.00 - AED7,000.00 per month
