Job Description

Job Purpose:

The MEP Draftsman is responsible for preparing accurate and detailed

MEP drawings

(Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) for construction and fit-out projects. The role requires familiarity with

ADDC, TAQA, and MUSANADA

submission procedures and standards to ensure drawings are compliant with Abu Dhabi's regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare detailed

MEP shop drawings

including HVAC, plumbing, fire fighting, electrical, and lighting systems. Coordinate with MEP engineers, architects, and project managers to incorporate design changes. Ensure all drawings comply with

ADDC, TAQA, MUSANADA

regulations and UAE construction codes. Assist in obtaining approvals from authorities for project submissions. Update drawings based on site feedback and as-built conditions. Maintain proper filing of drawings, revisions, and documentation for regulatory compliance. Collaborate with site engineers to resolve technical issues on site. Conduct clash detection and coordination with architectural and structural drawings. Support preparation of material take-offs and BOQs from drawings.

Qualifications & Experience:

Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical & Electrical Engineering. Minimum

5-8 years of experience

in MEP drafting in Abu Dhabi. Proven experience in dealing with

ADDC / TAQA / MUSANADA

submissions and approvals. Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and MS Office. Knowledge of UAE regulations and standards for MEP systems. Attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality drawings. Strong coordination and communication skills.
