Job Description

We are seeking a skilled

MEP Draftsman

to join our Rak team. The ideal candidate will have experience in preparing detailed

MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing)

drawings and layouts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project specifications and authority regulations.

This role requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality design outputs.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare accurate and detailed

MEP drawings

using

AutoCAD

and

Revit

. Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire-fighting teams to ensure seamless integration of all systems. Support engineers by translating design concepts into technical drawings and layouts. Review and update drawings to align with project requirements, authority standards, and consultant/client feedback. Identify and resolve potential

clashes or discrepancies

between various systems. Maintain a comprehensive library of updated drawings and project documentation. Assist in preparing

as-built drawings

for project handover. Ensure compliance with UAE building codes, Ras Al Khaimah authority regulations (e.g., ADM, ADDC, ADCD), and international standards. Collaborate closely with architects, structural engineers, and site teams to ensure accurate implementation.

Requirements:

Diploma or Technical Certificate in

MEP Drafting / Mechanical or Electrical Engineering

or related field.

2-4 years of experience

as an MEP Draftsman in a consultancy or contracting firm in the UAE. Proficiency in

AutoCAD

(mandatory) and

Revit MEP

(preferred). Knowledge of

UAE authority regulations and approval processes

such as ADM, ADDC, and ADCD. Strong understanding of MEP systems: HVAC, plumbing, fire-fighting, electrical, and ELV. Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Good communication skills in English (Arabic is a plus).
