We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented

MEP Draftsman

to join our engineering and construction team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in preparing precise and comprehensive

Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP)

drawings using AutoCAD and BIM software, in accordance with project specifications, industry standards, and local codes.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare accurate and detailed MEP shop drawings, coordination drawings, and as-built drawings for HVAC, firefighting, plumbing, drainage, and electrical systems. Coordinate with architects, engineers, and other disciplines to ensure clash-free designs and efficient system layouts. Use AutoCAD, Revit (BIM), and other drafting tools to produce high-quality 2D and 3D drawings. Interpret design inputs and technical specifications to develop comprehensive drawing sets. Participate in design review meetings and support the engineering team with on-site drafting modifications. Maintain a thorough understanding of project scope, timelines, and deliverables. Ensure compliance with local and international codes (ASHRAE, NFPA, DEWA, etc.) and quality standards. Update drawings based on site changes, client feedback, or engineering revisions. Archive and organize drawing files for easy retrieval and version control.

Requirements:

Diploma or Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related field. Proven experience as an MEP Draftsman in construction or consulting companies. Proficient in

AutoCAD

, Revit MEP, Navisworks, and other relevant drafting/design software. Strong understanding of MEP systems, technical drawings, and construction methods. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and coordination skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

Familiarity with

BIM coordination workflows

and clash detection. Knowledge of local authority standards (e.g., DEWA, ADDC, DM, Civil Defence). Experience in large-scale commercial, residential, or industrial projects.
