Develop accurate and coordinated MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) shop drawings based on design, tender, and IFC drawings.
Ensure all drawings comply with FEWA, Civil Defence, and other local authority standards (RAK Municipality, UAQ Municipality, Ajman Sewerage, etc.).
Coordination with Design and Site Teams
Work closely with design engineers, site supervisors, and project managers to incorporate changes, site modifications, and actual conditions.
Conduct regular updates to reflect approved revisions on shop drawings.
Compliance with Local Authority Standards
Adhere to FEWA guidelines for LV/MV systems, load schedules, SLDs, and meter room layouts.
Follow UAE Civil Defence requirements for fire alarm, fire fighting, emergency lighting, and smoke ventilation systems.
Ensure plumbing, drainage, and HVAC layouts meet municipal and environmental regulations.
Authority Submission Drawings
Prepare submission drawings for authority approvals (FEWA, Civil Defence, RAK Municipality, etc.).
Modify and resubmit drawings based on review comments until final NOC is obtained.
As-Built Drawings Preparation
Develop precise as-built MEP drawings post-completion based on red-marked site drawings and inspection results.
Coordinate with QA/QC and site teams to ensure as-builts reflect all field changes.
Clash Detection & Coordination Drawings
Create coordinated MEP layouts by integrating architectural, structural, and other trades.
Identify and resolve spatial conflicts using 2D/3D software tools (AutoCAD/Revit/Navisworks).
Drawing Control & Revisions
Maintain a comprehensive drawing log, revision history, and ensure latest drawings are circulated.
Apply correct layering, legends, title blocks, and notes per company and authority standards.
CAD/BIM Software Proficiency
Utilize AutoCAD and other drafting tools for producing 2D/3D drawings.
Manage template libraries and maintain company-standard drawing formats.
Documentation for Inspections & NOC
Support project and QA/QC teams by preparing necessary drawings for FEWA & Civil Defence inspections.
Update and finalize drawings post-inspection for NOC clearance.
Support in Equipment Layout & Integration
Draft equipment layouts (e.g., AHU, FAHU, pumps, DBs, chillers) ensuring authority-required clearances.
Coordinate installation detailing with manufacturer technical data sheets.
Preparation of MEP BOQ (Bill of Quantities)
Assist in the preparation of detailed BOQs based on IFC drawings and coordinated shop drawings.
Extract material quantities for electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and fire systems.
Coordinate with engineers and procurement team to ensure accurate material take-offs (MTOs) and support tendering and estimation processes.
