Job Description

Job Summary

The MEP Draftsman is responsible for preparing accurate shop drawings, coordination drawings, and as-built drawings for Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems in accordance with UAE regulations, project specifications, and authority requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare

MEP shop drawings

(HVAC, electrical, plumbing, firefighting) using AutoCAD and/or Revit Develop

coordination drawings

and resolve clashes with architectural and structural drawings Modify drawings based on

site conditions

, consultant comments, and engineer instructions Prepare

as-built drawings

upon project completion Ensure drawings comply with

UAE codes and standards

(DEWA, ADDC, SEWA, DM, Civil Defence, etc.) Coordinate with MEP engineers, site teams, and other disciplines Maintain proper drawing registers and document control Assist engineers with layouts, schematics, and details Review tender drawings and BOQs to understand project requirements
Required Skills & Qualifications

Diploma or Degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or Drafting

3-5 years of experience

as an MEP Draftsman in the UAE Proficiency in

AutoCAD

(Revit MEP is an advantage) Strong knowledge of

MEP systems and symbols

Experience with

authority approvals

and local regulations Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines Good coordination and communication skills
Preferred Experience

UAE construction or contracting company experience High-rise buildings, residential, commercial, or infrastructure projects Knowledge of

BIM standards

(if applicable)
Software Skills

AutoCAD (mandatory) Revit MEP (preferred) MS Office
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED3,500.00 - AED6,500.00 per month
