MEP Draftsman (Specialist) - Construction Projects - Dubai

Key Responsibilities

Drafting and Design:

Produce accurate, high-quality MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) shop drawings, coordination drawings, and as-built drawings using

AutoCAD

and other relevant software.

Coordination:

Collaborate closely with the MEP engineering team, architects, and site teams to ensure effective coordination of all MEP services and resolve clashes across different trades.

Project Lifecycle:

Be actively involved in the entire project lifecycle, from the initial design coordination phase through to project completion and the preparation of final

"As-Built"

documentation.

Standard Compliance:

Ensure all drawings and designs strictly adhere to relevant UAE and Dubai municipality standards, specifications, and building codes.

Revisions:

Manage and implement drawing revisions quickly and accurately as directed by the Project Manager or MEP Engineers.

Material Documentation:

Assist in the preparation of material submittals and technical documentation related to the MEP systems.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Experience:

2 to 5 years

of progressive experience as an MEP Draftsman or Specialist, strictly within the

construction

industry.

Location Expertise:

Mandatory building project experience in Dubai ONLY.

Candidates without start-to-end project experience in Dubai will not be considered.

Technical Proficiency:

Expert knowledge of

AutoCAD

is required. Proficiency in Revit MEP or other BIM software is a significant plus.

MEP Knowledge:

Strong understanding of all three disciplines: Mechanical (HVAC, fire protection), Electrical (power, lighting, low current), and Plumbing (drainage, water supply).

Attention to Detail:

Exceptional precision and attention to detail, capable of producing complex, coordinated drawings under tight deadlines.

Communication:

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with site and office personnel.
