Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and develop detailed MEP shop drawings (HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Drainage, and Fire Fighting systems) as per project standards.

Qualifications and Skills:

Diploma or ITI in Mechanical / Electrical / Civil Engineering or related field. Minimum

3-5 years of experience

as an MEP Draftsman in construction or contracting companies. Proficient in

AutoCAD

,

Revit MEP

, and other relevant drafting software. Strong knowledge of MEP systems, layouts, and coordination requirements. Familiar with

UAE construction codes and standards

(preferred). Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Good communication and teamwork skills. Coordinate with architects, structural, and civil engineers to avoid clashes and ensure integrated drawings. Review design drawings and identify discrepancies, technical issues, or conflicts. Prepare as-built drawings based on site conditions and final installation. Ensure all drawings comply with relevant codes, standards, and client specifications. Maintain and update drawing registers, file records, and revisions. Work closely with project engineers and site teams for technical support and drawing clarification. Prepare drawings using AutoCAD/Revit or other drafting software as per company standards. Assist in material take-offs and quantity estimation from drawings. Attend coordination meetings when required to resolve design and drawing issues.
