Position: MEP Design Draftsman

Experience:

Minimum 8 years in UAE (preferably in high-rise building projects)

Duties and Responsibilities:

Prepare detailed

MEP drawings

(Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) for high-rise buildings using AutoCAD, Revit, and other design software. Develop coordinated

MEP shop drawings

, ensuring alignment with architectural and structural layouts. Create

as-built drawings

post-installation for submission and records. Work closely with MEP engineers to translate design concepts into technical drawings and layouts. Ensure all drawings comply with

Dubai Municipality (DM)

,

DEWA

,

DCD

, and other local authority regulations. Perform

clash detection

using Navisworks or similar tools and propose solutions to resolve conflicts between disciplines. Prepare detailed sections, schematic diagrams, and installation drawings as per project requirements. Maintain proper documentation, drawing revisions, and version control throughout the design process. Assist in preparing

material take-offs

and quantity estimations based on drawings. Coordinate with site teams, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure design intent is implemented during execution. Attend design review meetings and support the team in technical discussions and submittals.

Requirements:

Diploma or Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related field. Minimum 8 years of experience in MEP drafting for high-rise towers in the UAE. Proficiency in

AutoCAD

,

Revit (MEP)

, and

Navisworks

. Strong understanding of MEP systems, construction standards, and local regulations. Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and time management skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
