Job Description

We are seeking a skilled

MEP Draftsman

with a mechanical background and a minimum of

3 years of UAE experience

to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in preparing MEP shop drawings, coordination drawings, and as-built drawings using AutoCAD and other drafting software. The candidate must be familiar with local authority regulations and standards (DEWA, DM, etc.).

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare detailed MEP (Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing) shop drawings, particularly mechanical (HVAC, plumbing, fire fighting) systems. Develop coordinated MEP drawings to avoid clashes and ensure integration between disciplines. Modify and update drawings as per engineers' instructions or design changes. Prepare as-built drawings as per site markups. Ensure compliance with project specifications and UAE authority standards (e.g., DEWA, DM, ADCD). Coordinate with engineers, site supervisors, and project teams for drawing approvals and modifications. Maintain and organize drawing files and document control. Conduct site visits when necessary to verify installation details.

Requirements:

Education:

Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

Experience:

Minimum 3 years of proven drafting experience in the UAE.

Software Skills:

Proficient in AutoCAD; knowledge of Revit MEP and Navisworks is an advantage. Strong knowledge of mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, fire fighting). Familiarity with local codes, standards, and authority submission procedures. Good communication and organizational skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Preferred:

Experience in MEP contracting companies in the UAE. Immediate joiners will be given priority.
