, a deep understanding of
UAE regulations
, and the ability to coordinate with site and engineering teams to produce detailed and accurate shop drawings.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare detailed
MEP shop drawings
(Electrical & Plumbing) based on project specifications and design consultant drawings.
Modify and revise drawings as per engineer/site instructions or client requirements.
Ensure all drawings are in compliance with
local authority regulations
(e.g., DEWA, SEWA, ADDC, DCD, etc.).
Coordinate MEP services with architectural and structural drawings to avoid clashes.
Assist in the preparation of
As-Built drawings
.
Maintain accurate records of all drawings and revisions.
Liaise with site engineers and supervisors to ensure smooth execution of the drawings.
Review design layouts to find and resolve problems involving compatibility with basic design concepts.
Use software such as
AutoCAD, Revit (preferred), and Navisworks
to develop coordinated MEP models.
Attend coordination meetings when required to resolve technical drawing issues.
Qualifications & Skills:
Diploma or Degree in
Mechanical/Electrical Engineering
or related technical field.
5+ years of UAE experience
in a similar role within the
construction/contracting sector
.
Strong proficiency in
AutoCAD
, with knowledge of
Revit MEP
considered an advantage.
In-depth knowledge of
electrical and plumbing systems
used in residential, commercial, and industrial projects.
Familiar with
UAE local authority standards and submission processes
.
Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Excellent communication and coordination skills.
Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Preferred:
UAE driving license.
Experience in
HVAC drafting
(optional but a plus).
Knowledge of
3D coordination (BIM)
workflows.
