Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented

MEP Draftsman

with at least 5 years of experience to join our engineering team in Dubai or Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) shop drawings, coordination drawings, and as-built drawings using AutoCAD and other drafting tools, in accordance with project specifications and local authority standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare detailed

shop drawings

and

as-built drawings

for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems based on engineering designs and project requirements. Coordinate MEP layouts with structural and architectural elements to ensure

clash-free design

. Ensure that all drawings comply with

local regulations

and

international standards

(e.g., DEWA, ADDC, DCD). Modify and update drawings in response to

site conditions

,

design changes

, or

consultant comments

. Collaborate closely with project engineers, site teams, and other draftsmen to ensure smooth workflow. Maintain an organized filing system of drawings and project documentation. Attend site coordination meetings when required to understand and resolve drawing-related issues.

Requirements:

Diploma or degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or related field. Minimum

5 years of proven experience

as an MEP Draftsman in the UAE. Proficient in

AutoCAD

, with knowledge of Revit or other BIM tools considered an advantage. Strong understanding of MEP systems and coordination practices. Knowledge of UAE

construction standards

,

codes

, and

authority requirements

(Dubai Municipality, DEWA, DCD, ADDC, etc.). Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications. Excellent attention to detail and time management skills. Strong communication skills and ability to work under pressure.

Preferred:

Experience with

high-rise buildings

,

commercial complexes

, or

infrastructure projects

in the UAE. Familiarity with

BIM coordination

processes and tools is a plus.

Commensurate with experience
