We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented MEP Draughtsman to join our construction and interior fit-out team in Dubai. The ideal candidate should have proven experience in preparing accurate MEP shop drawings (Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing), coordination drawings, and as-built documentation in accordance with local regulations and project specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare detailed MEP shop drawings using AutoCAD or Revit for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire-fighting systems.
Review design drawings and specifications to ensure compliance with Dubai Municipality (DM), DEWA, Civil Defense, and other relevant authority standards.
Coordinate with architectural, structural, and interior design teams to avoid clashes and ensure smooth execution on site.
Produce accurate as-built drawings based on site conditions and redline markups.
Assist in drawing submissions for authority approvals and ensure compliance with project timelines.
Maintain organized drawing records and revisions throughout the project lifecycle.
Provide support to site engineers and project managers for technical drawing clarification
Qualifications and Skills:
Diploma or Degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical qualification.
Minimum 3-5 years of UAE experience as an MEP Draughtsman, preferably in fit-out or contracting companies.
Proficient in AutoCAD; knowledge of Revit MEP, Navisworks, and BIM workflow is a strong advantage.
Sound knowledge of MEP systems and local authority requirements (DM, DEWA, Etisalat, DCD, etc.).
Good communication and coordination skills.
Ability to work independently under tight deadlines.
