: As the MEP Coordinator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and successful integration of MEP systems within our interior fitout projects. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to oversee the design, installation, and maintenance of MEP systems, ensuring they meet quality, safety, and regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with project managers to understand project requirements, timelines, and objectives.
Act as the primary point of contact for all MEP-related issues and provide technical guidance
throughout the project lifecycle.
Review and interpret architectural and engineering plans to ensure seamless integration of MEP
systems into the fitout design.
Coordinate with architects, engineers, and design teams to address design challenges and
modifications.
Collaborate with the procurement team to source and select MEP equipment, materials, and
subcontractors.
Ensure timely delivery and quality control of MEP components, adhering to project budget and
specifications.
Supervise and monitor the installation and construction of MEP systems, ensuring they conform to
project specifications and applicable codes.
Address and resolve any design or installation issues in a timely manner.
Establish and implement quality control measures to ensure the reliability and safety of MEP systems.
Conduct inspections and tests to verify the functionality of MEP components.
Ensure that all MEP systems meet local, state, and federal regulations, including building codes,
safety standards, and environmental guidelines.
Obtain necessary permits and approvals for MEP installations.
Monitor and manage the budget for MEP components, seeking cost-effective solutions and avoiding
budget overruns.
Participate in value engineering efforts to optimize costs while maintaining quality.
Maintain accurate records of MEP plans, specifications, drawings, and installation documentation.
Generate regular reports on project progress, budget status, and any deviations from the project
plan. Requirements:
Bachelor\'s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Plumbing Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience as an MEP Coordinator or similar role, preferably in fitout and construction projects.
Strong knowledge of MEP systems and components, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire
protection.
Familiarity with MEP design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit) and project management tools.
Understanding of local building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Professional licensure or certification in MEP engineering may be preferred.
