Mission and objectives:
Istanbul International Center for Private Sector in Development (IICPSD) supports the private sector and foundations to become transformative partners in development through research, advocacy for inclusive business, facilitation of public-private dialogue and brokering partnerships. IICPSD, established in 2011 in partnership with the Government of Turkey, is one of UNDP's six Global Policy Centres. It leads UNDP's global work on private sector and foundations and supports UNDP's offices all over the world. The Center focuses on four thematic areas:
1. Inclusive Business;
2. Private Sector Engagement in Skills Development;
3. Impact investing;
4. Resilience and Crisis Response.
The Center also hosts four global initiatives: Business Call to Action, SDG Philanthropy Platform, Global Islamic Finance and Impact Investing Platform and Connecting Business Initiative.
Context:
Each team will develop a playable prototype during the 4-week capstone project development phase. The process is designed to simulate a real game production cycle, offering hands-on experience in design, iteration, teamwork, and presentation. Mentors will play a key role in supporting participants as they bring their ideas to life and prepare for the Demo Day.

Task description:
UNDP is seeking 10 online volunteers with game industry experience to serve as mentors for bootcamp participants during the 4-week capstone project development period. Mentors will be paired with small teams and are expected to provide strategic, creative, and motivational guidance throughout the bootcamp.
As a mentor, you will:
Support your assigned team during the entire capstone development phase, helping them refine their game concepts and define project scope.
Provide constructive feedback on design choices, gameplay mechanics, visual style, and storytelling.
Help troubleshoot common challenges related to teamwork, time management, and technical execution.
Recommend tools, tutorials, or frameworks that may support the team's work.
Offer career mentorship, sharing insights about job roles, portfolios, and industry entry points.
Encourage iteration and user-centered thinking throughout the development process.
Mentorship is expected to require 1-2 hours per week maximum, with flexibility on how this is delivered (via short virtual meetings, written feedback, or chat-based support).
Requirements:
Minimum 2 years of experience in game development, design, or publishing.
Familiarity with tools such as Unity, Unreal Engine, or C# is highly valued.
Experience working in or mentoring creative teams, especially in early-stage projects is an asset.
Enthusiasm for mentoring youth and supporting inclusive talent development in the gaming industry.
Work Hours: 1 - 5 hours per week
