Be the technical authority of the shop, representing MORIANO in the Qatari market Own fittings, measurements, feasibility and quality. Deliver high end tailoring with a strong focus on (bespoke) suits.
Key responsibilities
Lead fittings and measurements for suits and complex garments. Guide customers on options and limits in collaboration with the sales team
Decide technical feasibility and set accurate timelines before work begins
Allocate work across tailors. Balance urgent and standard jobs. Monitor daily progress
Draft and adjust patterns. Execute complex alterations and bespoke work to a high standard
Set technical standards for the shop. Train tailors on suit construction, hand finishing and pressing
Run quality checks during production and before delivery to protect first fit pass rate
Maintain machines and tools. Keep the workshop tidy and safe. Plan routine servicing
Track remakes and rework. Fix root causes and update methods to prevent repeats
Provide technical advice during customer consultations to avoid over promising
Build a small library of fit photos and notes to speed future work preferred
Create short tips for marketing on craftsmanship and suit care based on expertise preferred
Mentor apprentices and design a skills ladder that grows internal talent preferred
Minimum requirements
Ten or more years of professional tailoring with deep and proven suit expertise
Mastery of canvassed construction, balance, sleeve setting, collar and roll and shaping
Strong pattern drafting and complex alteration problem solving
Team leadership and coaching experience
Precise, fast and calm with clear client communication
