Job Description
We are looking for a Full Stack Developer who is motivated to explore new technologies and join our small team focused on increasing the success of Hopasports. You should have strong experience in JavaScript, PHP, MySQL, and Git as well as a deep understanding of modern web technologies. You should enjoy working with the full stack needed to finish a project. The right candidate for this role must have the desire to take an active role in defining how our applications work. We need you to write appealing, performant code to a high standard, in a timely and scalable way that improves the codebase of our platform in meaningful ways. You will be a part of a small collaborative team that is responsible for all aspects of the ongoing software development from the initial specification, through to developing, testing and publishing.
Responsibilities
- Become familiar with Hopasports, its architecture, infrastructure and business model
- Develop and deploy new features, procedures, and tools. Write clean, well designed code
- Troubleshoot, test and maintain the core product software and databases to ensure strong optimization and functionality
- Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle
- Follow industry best practices
- Create and maintain database schemas to support business processes
- Code optimization and performance improvements
Must Haves
- Fundamental understanding of object-oriented programming, programming paradigms and data structures
- Proficiency with PHP, specifically the Laravel framework (also v4.2) with at least 5 years of experience.
- Solid knowledge of jQuery, CSS, Bootstrap and Vue
- Comfortable with Linux, SSH and the command
- MySQL experience, strong SQL skills
- Confident in Git
- Ability to build and consume RESTful API's
Nice to Haves
- Knowledge of the sports or event booking industry
- Experience with Node, Javascript libraries and -frameworks

- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently
- Passion for best design and coding practices and a desire to develop new bold ideas
- Highly motivated individual with a focus on writing clean, well-tested, and scalable code
- Fluent in English, written and spoken
