Job Description

Accurately and effectively assess risk assessments to determine the risk associated with an application. Ability to explain the identified complex risks with the available solutions in the market (Abu Dhabi/Dubai/Norther Emirates). Accurately select the coverage, products, and price in line with client's requirements. Meeting with potential brokers or insurers to gather information and negotiate best terms. Responsible for underwriting both new business and renewals. Building good working relationships with brokers and the insurers. Review the coverage, policy wordings, restrictions, exclusions, and the premiums. Address and resolve underwriting queries within delegated authority and decide whether to escalate or discuss the complicated risks with department head. Maintaining detailed and accurate records of underwritten policies. Adhering to compliance and regulatory procedures / governance framework across UAE (Abu Dhabi/ Dubai / Norther Emirates). Continuously develop knowledge in product lines available in the industry to stay abreast of market trends / insights. Work closely with the BD team to provide relevant training in these areas. Monitor underwriting strategy performance through reports, data analysis, and insights to ensure alignment with organizational goals. Contribute to the Technical Underwriting Review Process to ensure consistency and accuracy. Anticipate, recognize, and respond to the needs of customers, supporting the implementation of customer initiatives. Resolve technical problems by referring to policies, procedures, and specifications. Compare alternatives for solving problems or improving procedures or products and provide recommendations. At least 3 years of core insurance experience in Technical Underwriting Insurance related certifications Insurance Broker, TPA or Insurance company experience preferred
