The Medical Store In-Charge is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the medical store, including inventory management, procurement, stock maintenance, compliance with healthcare regulations, and ensuring timely availability of stocks and medical supplies. The role requires strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills to ensure efficient functioning of the store.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage inventory of medical stocks, surgical items, and other healthcare supplies.
Maintain accurate records of stock levels, expiry dates, and storage conditions.
Ensure timely procurement of medical supplies from authorized vendors.
Supervise store staff and assign duties as needed.
Verify and cross-check invoices, purchase orders, and delivery notes.
Ensure proper storage practices and temperature control for sensitive items.
Handle billing, stock auditing, and regular reconciliation with finance departments.
Dispose of expired or damaged stock as per legal and environmental guidelines.
Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and other departments for smooth supply flow.
Maintain compliance with local laws, Drug Control regulations, and licensing requirements.
Implement and maintain inventory management systems (manual or software-based).
Qualifications:
Minimum 2-5 years of experience in clinic/medical store management.
Knowledge of pharmaceutical products, storage protocols, and inventory systems.
Familiarity with drug laws and medical compliance standards.
Proficiency in MS Office and pharmacy software (e.g., Marg, Medivision, etc.).
