Overview

***This position is physically located in Kuwait in support of LOGCAP***

+ Under the supervision of the Senior Patient Administration Supervisor, the Medical Logistics Specialist provides logistical support and managing the overall logistic processes in support of our customers mission objectives; leveraging existing networks; anticipating mission needs and operational requirements. The utilization of systems such as GCSS-Army, DMLSS, DCAM and TEWLS are crucial to ensure mission success, request items, distribute items and ensure maintenance is scheduled, performed and recorded for each item of TSC equipment using DD Form 314, Preventive Maintenance Schedules and Records Card or other automated system, IAW AR 25-1, AR 350-38, and DA Pam 738-750.

Responsibilities

This position description is subject to change at any time as needed to meet the requirements of the program or company.

+ Provides the COR and QAR with a weekly report that tracks on stock items, order status, and provide the COR, consumable supplies, and repair parts for the medical equipment at the ASG-KU facilities.

+ Provides the ASG-KU MEDLOG NCOIC and COR a weekly report that tracks medical equipment accountability in GCSS-A and the ASG-KU Property Book Office, standing orders submitted, pending orders

+ Coordinate, schedule, inform and forecast any need to ship the medical equipment for replacement, maintenance or calibration.

+ Conducts annual 100% inventory of all products, durable and non-expendable supplies, equipment and property IAW AR 735-5 and the terms of the contract.

+ Assist with material identification, acquisition, shipment, receipt, and packaging operations.

+ Process material schedules for conversion overhaul and repair of nuclear submarines.

+ Identifies and resolves material issues to avoid any delays in the project's completion date.

+ Act as the material control point and performs audits of material processing.

+ Responsible for the receipt and validation of customer Sales Orders and for managing unfilled orders.

+ Ensures the exception processing associated with allocating inventory to orders, scheduling and releasing the line item(s) to customers, and processing confirmations or denials once inventory is identified.

+ Expedites the resolution of customer supply problems with emphasis on medical maintenance and process if new requirements.

+ Ensures forecasts/demand plans developed for subsistence of CLVIII Receives/evaluates quantitative/qualitative feedback from collaborative sources.

+ Responsible for thorough understanding of Government and commercial approaches to all disciplines involved in program support, including supply, transportation, customs, automation, storage, and inspection, contracting, finance, and other.

+ Requires understanding of unique procedures and support to ASG-KU and subordinate elements, as well as the normal support procedures required for all other customers.

+ Monitor and enhance customer relationships by participating in customer outreach initiatives to assess customer satisfaction.

+ Performs other duties as assigned by the PAS and Medical Services Manager.

Qualifications

+ Minimum Qualifications : Education/Certifications: One year of related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.

+ Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) certification within 30 days after hire from the online source training:

+ Employee must have a High School Diploma or GED. Coursework in medical logistics. Work experience may substitute education, on a year for year basis.

+ Clearance/License:

+ Must be CAC eligible and/or able to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC)

+ A valid driver's license and the ability to obtain a U.S. Government Motor Vehicle Operator's License and Kuwait Driver's License are required.

+ Must be able to maintain USG Network access & Smart card privilege(s).

+ Experience:

+ Three (3) years' experience in Logistics and warehousing. Related Medical Logistics in Supply arena. One-year (1) Year Experience working with MAXIMO and GCSS-Army is a Plus. Must have two (2) years progressive experience, which demonstrates the ability to analyze problems, to identify significant factors, gather pertinent data, and recognize solutions. Must be familiar with Privacy Act of 1974 and Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA)

+ Skills:

+ Employee must be able to work effectively with all levels of employees, including top, middle and supervisory levels of management. They must be able to work independently. Position requires basic planning, organizing, and problem solving skills. Require excellent oral and written communication skills in English. Requires analytical skills, including the ability to extract, compile and analyze data. They must be knowledgeable in MS Office software application such as Word, Excel and Power Point. Applicant must be able to handle company information with confidentiality and discretion. Applicant must have excellent oral and written communication skills in English.

+ Working Environment:

+ Indoor and outdoor environment, duties will involve the conduct of work in the outdoors with a potential exposure to extreme climatic conditions including frequent dust storms, and high temperatures - up to 130 degrees in the summer months.

+ Potential exposure to chemical or biological agents could exist. Employee use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in certain areas is required. Such PPE includes but is not limited to head, foot, hand, torso, respiratory, vision and hearing protective devices.

+ Candidate must comply with all Fire, Safety and post policies.

+ Normal work week is 48 hours, but must be able to work overtime or nights as required; to include, holidays.

+ Physical Requirements:

+ Must be physically capable of lifting 70 pounds a vertical distance of four feet and carrying this weight a horizontal distance of 25 feet. stooping, climbing, prolonged standing, prolonged sitting, and working with or in areas where a potential could exist for exposure to physical, chemical or biological agents.
