We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced
Medical Coder
to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for reviewing clinical documentation and assigning accurate medical codes for diagnoses, procedures, and services in accordance with ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS guidelines.
Responsibilities:
Review and analyze medical records to ensure proper coding of diagnoses and procedures
Assign appropriate codes for billing and insurance purposes
Ensure compliance with current coding guidelines and regulations
Work closely with physicians and healthcare staff to clarify documentation
Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
Requirements:
Certification as a Medical Coder (CPC, CCS, or equivalent)
Proven experience in medical coding
Strong knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems
High attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent communication and organizational skills
