Role Purpose

  • This role is responsible for overseeing the cross-channel media strategy for the beloved NIVEA brand. You should be comfortable working with many different stakeholders, both internally and externally, with a vast knowledge of media & operational expertise to lead Middle East\xe2\x80\x99s way forward on media & PR.
  • You should be comfortable with offline & online media, partnering with our media agency on creating the most effective yet efficient plans to drive brand equity, reach and sales.
  • You will also be in charge of media processes, modelling ways of working to serve the higher purpose of delivering strong and impactful campaigns.
  • You will also be responsible for the total cross category media budget which is to be managed meticulously for excellent operational & financial deliveries as well as closely monitoring/acting on competitive activity.

Main Accountabilities

Media Strategy, Planning & Analysis
  • Media Strategy: Managing the development of the overall media strategy for BDF MENA ensuring a proper translation for the overall regional strategy while localizing for stronger relevance and impact.
  • Media Planning: Manage the detailed execution of ATL media plans (TV & Digital & OOH) together with the assigned media agency.
  • Influencer management: Oversee as a part of the integrated media plan, project led by Media Operations Manager. Responsible for ensuring deliverables are met (budget, performance, content, guidelines etc.).
  • Media Efficiency: Manage the tracking process of the media efficiencies based on agreed media deals, media agency contracts and global BDF guidelines.
  • Media Briefing: Work closely with brand teams to create media objectives for briefs based on their category\xe2\x80\x99s business objectives. Manage the communication between BDF MENA Brand Teams and the assigned Media Agency (briefing, planning, execution).
  • Media Budget: Responsible for total Media budget expenditure and forecasting, while ensuring a proper financial tracking system for accuracy in forecasting, annual planning and audit inspection, supported and responsible for overseeing the Media Operations Manager.
Competitive Monitoring & Analytics:
  • Responsible for monitoring, reporting, analyzing and acting on competitive media behavior. Key point of contact knowing how to outshout competition.
  • Close collaboration with Digital managers to track right KPIs & ROI.
  • Using analytical tools to track, monitor and optimize media presence, segmentation, and campaigns based on historical performance.
  • Analyze content performance to give insights and learnings to steer communication plans based on findings.
  • Upskill marketing team and provide media basics trainings to utilize the dashboard for more operational tasks and use as foundation for strategic communication discussions.
Agency & Partners Management:
  • Responsible for monitoring and executing yearly deals & retainers with agencies and key publishers.
  • Leading on the media negotiations with the media suppliers to ensure ultimate cost efficiency and savings as per contract/guidelines.
  • Engage with external partners to build understanding, learnings & case studies for us to adopt internally.
  • Responsible for agencies yearly evaluations and team dynamics.
  • Work with Digital team members on joint business plans with media partners and suppliers to maximize efficiency in yearly operations to add more value to our media footprint
Corporate Communications & PR
  • Manage the development of the PR Strategy & Calendar which translates the overall communication strategy of BDF MENA.
  • Lead on the development of all PR content for Corporate and BDF Brands; this also includes the management of all media collaterals, holding statements, brand statements etc.
  • Manage and organize the communication channel between BDF MENA and BDF HQ to continuously send and share success stories, innovative advertising campaigns, events to be published on the company\xe2\x80\x99s Intranet.
  • Responsible for the qualitative executions of all Crisis Management issues flagged, upskilling management on corporate comms.
  • Manage Corporate Communications locally, liaising with global Corporate Comms team, training senior management on Corporate Comm fundamentals as per global guidelines.
