Employees can request religious and/or medical exemptions to this requirement by following the process outlined in the offer letter.The Media Editor will plan, develop, and manage the creation of digital instructional content, assessment, and instructor resources for our Higher Education titles in Psychology. Our Media Editors work closely with program managers, content developers, and authors to develop online course plans and solidify the digital pedagogical approach of individual franchises. The Media Editor is detail-oriented and able to oversee major projects and internal team/author relationships independently. This role is responsible for an editorial process that yields accurate and high-quality digital resources for our customers. The Media Editor communicates and negotiates effectively within the discipline editorial team, externally with authors and users, and cross-functionally with product, production, and program management.This position can be based in either our New York, NY office or a fully remote U.S.-based location. Essential Qualifications: Bachelor's degree required.At least 5 years of experience in educational publishing, educational content creation, teaching, edtech, or learning design.An interest in or experience working with digital educational content.Strong project management skills, with ability to juggle multiple ongoing projects and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently.Ability to quickly learn authoring/assessment tools and content management platforms.Close attention to detail and strong interest in identifying and solving problems.Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.Strong interpersonal skills, with ability to form productive working relationships with authors, vendors, and in-house teams. Preferred Qualifications: Degree or background in psychology, education, or instructional design.Teaching experience.Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Apps; JIRA, Smartsheet, and Articulate360.Familiarity with digital courses as a student, instructor, instructional designer, or learning experience designer.
