This position will be based in Dubai under the People and Organization Communication department. You will directly report to the People and Organization Communication Director. You will work very closely with all departments such as Public Affairs, Legal, Commercial teams, and many others.
The position
As Media and Communication Manager, you will focus on providing ongoing media relations counsel and support for Novo Nordisk UAE, as well as protecting and promoting Novo Nordisk\xe2\x80\x99s reputation by establishing world-class issues management.
You will be responsible for:
- Building a strong media & external communication strategy for the affiliate and execute it in close contact with the PR agency
- Developing the external communications approach and identify & map opportunities (campaigns, public relations, social media, etc.) for the affiliate including the tactical plan for execution
- Handling local media relations & inquiries in collaboration with the Public and Relation (PR) agency and internal stakeholders (Region, IO-SO, HQ)
- Overseeing media monitoring to track public sentiment and initiate timely & tailored media engagement
- Establishing the local issues management process and serve as a key member of the affiliate Crisis Response Team
Qualifications
As a Media and Communication Manager, you need to have extensive experience as a seasoned communications professional in the pharmaceutical industry, where you have successfully engaged with media and senior stakeholders for many years. Nevertheless, your positive outlook, creativity, and strategic mindset are the driving forces behind your readiness to embark on the next chapter of your professional journey!
- You have a university Degree in a relevant area. A master\xe2\x80\x99s degree is a plus
- You have a minimum of 5 years of experience in communication and media relations
- You will preferably bring experience from the international pharmaceutical industry, or a similar industry characterized by high complexity and change
- You have an in-depth understanding and experience working in the area of commercial medical communications
- You have proven success in creating and implementing issues management plans; Proven results in managing complex, cross-organizational projects and excellent stakeholder management skills
- You have proficiency in English is a must; Arabic language is a plus
