Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical & Electrical Draftsman with extensive experience in MEP construction projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing detailed MEP coordination drawings, shop drawings, and as-built drawings using AutoCAD and other relevant drafting software. The role requires close coordination with design engineers, site teams, and other disciplines to ensure accurate and efficient project execution
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and develop MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) shop drawings based on IFC and tender drawings. Produce detailed coordination drawings for HVAC, Plumbing, Drainage, and Electrical systems. Generate accurate as-built drawings for project handover. Ensure all drawings comply with project specifications, standards, and authority requirements (ADDC, DEWA, DM, etc.). Coordinate with design engineers, site supervisors, and other trades for clash detection and resolution. Maintain and manage drawing revisions and documentation in line with project requirements. Support the site team with updated drawings and respond to technical queries. Attend coordination meetings and provide inputs regarding drawing updates.
Qualifications and Skills:
Diploma or Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline. Minimum
3-5 years
of drafting experience in MEP construction projects, preferably in the UAE/GCC. Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit (preferred), and other relevant design tools. Strong understanding of MEP systems including HVAC, Fire Fighting, Plumbing, and Electrical installations. Familiarity with local authority regulations (ADDC, DEWA, DM, ADM, etc.). Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines. Good communication and teamwork skills.Job Type: Full-time
