Job Description

Role: Perform testing, maintenance and calibration of mechanical equipment as per the plan or

otherwise necessary. Provide quality maintenance activities for mechanical system and

equipment, for the smooth functioning of the given area of the COMPANY plant. Report

or escalate support requirements to Supervisor and collaborate with personnel from other

departments in order to keep the Plant operation ready at all times as per plan.

Ø Apply the approved standards, procedures and schedules to ensure the reliability and

Ø integrity of the plant equipment and systems in the allocated area.

Ø Implement the developed scheduled maintenance on relevant equipment and ensure all

Ø work history and data is entered into the CMMS system.

Ø Generate all testing protocols, certificates and other documentations in line with

Ø established standards and ensure that these are linked to the respective equipment

Ø within the CMMS.

Ø Ensure the application of approved standards, procedures and schedules for reliability

Ø and integrity of the Plant in line with company guidelines

Ø Perform a proper slinging and lifting with chain-blocks.

Ø Remove and assist in re-installing pumps, motors and filters.

Ø Replace V-belts, check belt condition and execute belt tensioning and belt alignment.

Ø Open manholes on vessels and columns and remove internals.

Ø Check and recharge seal oil pressure

Ø inspect coupling and measure DBSE and correct accordingly

Ø Carry out greasing work. Clean the grease nipple, apply grease to the nipple as per the

Ø requirement using the grease gun.

Ø Replace lubrication oils for the pumps and other machines.

Ø Place and remove spades and to open and close pipe flanges, recognise the gasket

Ø types and types of bolts

Ø Clean the work area

Ø Operate the overhead cranes and forklift.

Ø Acquire PTW certificate and carry out the responsibilities of PTW Holder.

Ø Work extended hours and respond to call out duties as and when required.

Requirements

Qualification: HND or Diploma in relative discipline or its equivalent. Alternatively, a trade test

witnessed by COMPANY discipline Engineer.

Experience: More than 5 years' experience in mechanical maintenance work in the petrochemical/oil

and gas or power generation industry

Ø English language read, write and speaking to IELTS level 3 or equivalent

Ø Able to place and remove spades and to open and close pipe flanges, recognise the

Ø gasket types and types of bolts.

Ø Trained and able to tighten bolts with a manual torque wrench.

Ø Able to perform an alignment with reverse dial gauge method under supervision.

Ø Able to execute Hydrotest on piping and static equipment.

Ø Good interpersonal communication skill, problem solving skills, time management skills

Ø and work in harmony with co-workers.
