Mechanical Technician
Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities
. Troubleshooting mechanical malfunctions and breakdowns, Inspecting, and analysing as well as fixing and repairs.
. Optimizing mechanical efficiency by adjusting machinery and equipment settings.
. Developing and implementing maintenance plans to prevent costly equipment breakdowns.
. Fabricating any components required.
. Sourcing replacement parts by negotiating with suppliers.
. Providing time and material cost estimates before starting a job.
. Run tests and interpret results for effective work recommendations
Requirements:
. Associates degree in mechanical engineering technology (MIT), or similar.
. Minimum of 2 years' experience in a related industry
. Good knowledge in mechanical engineering designs, installations, maintenance, and repairs.
. Ability to multitask and explain problems simply and clearly.
. Proficiency in MS Office.
