Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the safe maintenance, repair or replacement of plant equipment and systems, to ensure maximum production quantity and quality, while supporting the policies, goals and objectives of LAHAB to meet organizational strategy and goals.
• Perform routine mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, machining work using conventional tool room equipment's and other maintenance activities on equipment, including lubrication, inspection, and replacement of parts.
• Maintain, repair and overhaul mechanical equipment and parts in the plant. Also, diagnose, troubleshoot, update and repair malfunctioning utility equipment's.
• Execute the preventive maintenance program as per schedules for plant equipment, machinery and related facilities.
• Assist the Supervisor / Manager in maintaining inventory (stock levels of spare parts and lubricants) used in plant equipment maintenance.
• Respond to emergency situations as needed and/or assigned for the purpose of resolving immediate safety concerns.
• Perform other tasks and duties as allocated by a department Manager or Superior.
• Ensure and adhere to safe work practices and procedures including, but not limited to, lockout/tag out and confined space rules and regulations.
• Read, understand and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics and diagrams.
• Maintain QMS ISO, safety, health and environmental policies and procedures and uphold standards of maximum safety.

Experience and Education:

• Vocational Trade Certificate.
• Good command of English language.
• Valid UAE Driving license (manual vehicle) due to operational requirement
• Minimum 3 - 5 years of experience in the following types of industries:
• Discrete manufacturing industries
• Process industries

• Packaging machines (Preferred)

• Vibratory system (Preferred)
• Plant room equipments (Preferred)
• Process line equipment's such as heat exchangers, boilers, storage tanks, furnaces etc. (Preferred)

Fault identification & troubleshooting
Machining knowledge (added advantage)

• Conventional milling
• Conventional lathe
• Surface grinding

Welding (added advantage)

• Arc welding, TIG welding, MIG welding
• Gas welding

Technical documentation knowledge

• Reading & understanding of technical (mechanical, P&ID, hydraulics, etc.) schematics.
• Permits to work

Instrument usage skills

• Measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, etc.)
• Gauging instruments (bore gauges, dial gauges, pitch gauge, etc.)

Computer skills

• Windows OS
• MS Office
• Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) (Preferred)
• Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) (Preferred)
