Prepare and Execute maintenance programs/schedules for Plant systems and equipment - Mechanical and complete test and maintenance reports. . Ensure that established maintenance procedures, practices, standards and codes are followed in the execution of maintenance work. Prepare Method Statement and Job Hazard Analysis . Supervise routine and non-routine equipment inspection in accordance with approved checklists and maintenance schedules using the appropriate test equipment and techniques. . Prepare, monitor and implement maintenance job schedules and procedures for routine turnarounds, shutdowns and overhaul and repair work. . Troubleshoot problems that may affect Plant equipment efficiency, quality of product, or plant equipment life and recommend solutions. . Liaise with Operations with respect to permit-to-work requirements, the release of equipment for maintenance work, job status and progress and final handover and acceptance by operations. . Report any major issues, equipment defects and abnormal conditions to the Mechanical Superintendent. . Provide technical supervision and direction to in-house and contractor personnel in the execution of field maintenance work. . Ensure the optimal utilization of all available resources, in-house and contractors, in the execution of maintenance works on the Plant. . Update the work order management system for maintenance activities. Review any backlog and initiate corrective action to reduce any backlog with Mechanical Engineer while ensuring high PM compliance . Troubleshoot, maintain and calibrate Mechanical equipment in accordance with manufacturer's specifications. . Assist in the preparation of job plans for turnarounds and shutdowns. . Provide technical support to Plant personnel and contractors under their supervision during abnormal situations. . Supervises the execution of turnaround jobs to ensure the general HSE and Quality standards are followed and maintained. . Keep up to date with existing operating conditions on other plants. . Ensure that excellent standards of housekeeping are observed on the Plant. . Responsible for maintaining a consistent line of communication with other Plant personnel on all matters related to Maintenance Field Activities. . Department monthly reporting and special reports as required. . Ensure appropriate documents and records are updated to help identify optimum procedures for all aspects of work relating to increased efficiency, cost-effectiveness and safety. . Preparation of purchase requisition for the material procurement & technical evaluation and receipt inspection. . Prepare special reports on Mechanical related activities as requested. Propose suitable modifications to existing equipment for management consideration and/or approval. . Initiate Management of Change for any modifications to improve the performance & reliability of the Equipment and system when required. . Participate in Plant trip/incident assessment teams for determination of root cause and implementing recommendations . Perform allocated duties as part of the Emergency Response Team. . Conducts safety walks, department safety meetings, and housekeeping inspections. . Spare parts management . Competency in SAP or other CMMS systems
