Emirates Electrical Engineering is a specialized business platform that provides comprehensive turnkey solutions combining development, financing, construction and operation of solar rooftops for commercial and industrial building in the UAE, also a responsive and flexible organization dedicated for the design and construction of turnkey electrical power projects such as High Voltage Substations, Cable Networks and Transmission Lines.

Job Purpose

The Retrofit project supervisor is accountable for ensuring that all retrofit projects are completed according to the plan ensuring compliance with applicable regulations, codes, and standards. They are also responsible for managing project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful project completion within scope, on time, and within budget.

Job Responsibilities

• Plan and track project activities, Prepare work progress reports, and reporting to the Project Manager on project progress, including identifying and addressing issues and risks as they arise
• Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, codes, and standards related to retrofitting requirements
• Coordinate and communicate with project stakeholders, including customers, contractors, and other team members of the projects
• Manage project budgets and expenses, including tracking costs and ensuring that projects stay within budget while ensuring that all work is completed to the required specifications and quality standards
• Conduct site inspections in coordinating with technicians, subcontractors to ensure that work is completed safely and in accordance with all relevant regulations and guidelines
• Keep accurate records of project activities, including documentation of work completed, changes made, and project milestones
• Design and implement modifications to existing systems or equipment as per plan in order to improve performance, energy efficiency, etc.
• Extend support in installation of new equipment or components, such as Chillers, Air handling Units , Dx units and cold rooms, to improve the operation of existing systems, if required
• Conduct tests to ensure that retrofitted equipment meets the required specifications and standards
• Provide technical support and advice to customers or colleagues regarding retrofitting projects
• Create and maintain accurate records of retrofitting projects, including project specifications, plans, and progress reports
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies

Job Requirements

Qualifications

• Must possess a Bachelor\'s degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from a reputed institution
• Certification Courses of HVAC/Refrigeration etc is added advantage

Experience

• 4 to 7 years of HVAC &/or Building Controls &/or ESPC experience
• Experience with HVAC/HVAC Engineering desired, including building controls and management systems
• Experience in Retrofitting Chiller plant projects handling team of technicians, and subcontractors
• Capable of making site inspection, taking BOQ and prepare Reports

Knowledge & Skills

• Must have a functional knowledge about the workings of an energy management company / ESCO
• Must possess a good understanding of engineering, design skills and concepts
• Must possess good oral and written communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel including layout for shared use and computational functions
• Shall be able to Plan and track project activities, Prepare work progress reports, and reporting to the Project Manager on project progress
• Liaise with contractors, managers, and other stakeholders to ensure the project is progressing as planned
• Able to handle multiple site, suppliers, contractors team
• Experience in organizing the necessary equipment and manpower to complete the project
• Shall be good at preparing detailed records of site activities
• Knowledge on work place safety, shall be able to follow and implement site safety rules to eliminate work-related accidents and injuries, Educate team on safety regulations and accident protocol
• Shall be able to recommend changes to site operations or procedures to improve efficiency
