: The Mechanical Static Equipment Design Engineer is responsible for designing, analyzing, and specifying static mechanical equipment such as pressure vessels, heat exchangers, storage tanks, piping systems, and reactors. The role involves ensuring compliance with industry codes (ASME, API, EN, etc.), performing stress analysis, selecting materials, and preparing technical documentation. The engineer collaborates with cross-functional teams to deliver safe, cost-effective, and reliable equipment for oil & gas, petrochemical, or power industries. Key Responsibilities:
Design and analyze static equipment using software (PV Elite, COMPRESS, CAESAR II, etc.).
Ensure compliance with ASME Section VIII, API 650, TEMA, and other relevant standards.
Prepare technical specifications, datasheets, and fabrication drawings.
Perform stress analysis (thermal, mechanical, and pressure loads).
Review vendor drawings and provide technical support during fabrication.
Conduct failure analysis and propose design improvements.
Collaborate with process, piping, and civil engineers for system integration.
Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Experience in static equipment design (pressure vessels, heat exchangers, tanks).
Proficiency in design codes (ASME, API, PED) and FEA tools.
Strong knowledge of materials, welding, and fabrication processes.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
