Title:Mechanical Rotating Engineer

Job Overview: Study and develop conceptual designs, prepare detailed engineering solutions, plan, monitor and coordinate all assigned modifications (projects) with project team for a wide range of tasks related to discipline scope. Act as a key focal point for in-house /subcontracted engineering. Review of engineering studies conducted in line with defined requirements, industry best practices and contractual agreements

Task & Responsibilities: Perform engineering, design, support procurement, review engineering documents and follow up with vendors, support pre-commissioning and commissioning of rotating equipment for brownfield and greenfield projects Review and raise clarifications on the ITB /Client documents/ Contractual documents in case of ambiguity in definition / lack of clarity / lack of reference/ areas of doubt etc. based on experience /judgment. Keep abreast of Industry Codes & Standards (API 610, 682, 612, 611, 617, 618, 619, 673, 674, 675, 676) and Guidelines related to rotating equipment. Prepare datasheets, technical specification, technical requisitions, technical bid evaluations for Engineering, Selection and Procurement assistance of Rotary Equipment & Packages like Pumps (Centrifugal, Screw, Reciprocating, Metering & Fire water), Compressors (Centrifugal, Screw and Reciprocating), Generators (Diesel & Gas engine/ Gas Turbines), Drivers (Gas Turbines, Motor & Engines), Fans, Blower, Agitators, Handling equipment (Cranes, Hoists) Follow up on technical scope of work of vendors & support process engineers in selecting type of rotating equipment. Perform calculations on its power requirements. Perform and lead kick-off meetings with Vendors. Familiarity with material selection in different services (Wet CO2 service, sour service, low temperature service, toxic service, etc. Meet project expectations in a timely manner and within the budget limits. Co-ordination with intra / inter disciplinary team and provide the required deliverables as and when requested. Advise and assist project and discipline engineers with the interpretation and clarification of applicable industry Codes and Client Specification requirements. Understand fabrication process, critical element/ critical path and how its influence the delivery of equipment Witness Vendor FAT / shop testing, and review test reports and provide relevant comments. Provide cost saving options measures during project execution phase or during proposal, if requested, and if available. Actively participate in the equipment / project HAZOP and close+ out of any action points.

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE: BE Mechanical with minimum 10 years Industrial experience In depth knowledge of industry international codes and standards such as ASME, API, NFPA, NACE, PIP, ANSI, ISO Good knowledge of discipline design/engineering with wide experience in different discipline areas.
