Overview / Responsibilities

Wood is currently recruiting for a Rotating Mechanical Maintenance Engineer in UAE to support Al Dhafra Haliba project.

Successful candidate must perform below duties;
  • Provide leadership and support to ensure the rotating equipment program is in compliance with process safety requirements and company policies and procedures. These equipment includes Multiphase Pumps, water injection Pumps, air compressor packages, etc.
  • Develop / implement maintenance strategies for rotating equipment, including preventive maintenance and condition monitoring programs.
  • Lead PM / PDM programs, maintenance benchmarking activities, and implement maintenance performance metrics to improve equipment / plant performance and reliability. Review the equipment performance history to identify improvement opportunities
  • Perform Root Cause Failure Analysis, Mean Time between Failures (MTBF) and other reliability analysis for rotating equipment.
  • Review bearing design and Mechanical Seals / Seal Systems and lubrication systems, perform stress and deflection analysis, condition monitoring, vibration analysis, Rotor-Dynamic Balancing and other reliability and mechanical integrity elements of rotating equipment.
  • Provide Technical input / support into engineering projects for rotating equipment and material selection, testing, installation, commissioning, and startup.
  • Review critical spares inventory requirment for rotating equipment and systems.
  • Conduct reviews of new / modified / improved technologies aimed at mitigating specific equipment failure modes
  • Provide rotating equipment-related technical support / assistance in resolving rotating equipment design, operation and maintenance problems, deviation from normal operation, performance optimization and de-bottlenecking, monitoring, repair, and overhaul.
  • Lead investigation teams to solve recurring rotating equipment issues / failures.
  • Keep up-to-date with latest industry practices, standards, and technology for continuous improvement in rotating equipment performance / reliability.
  • Review MOCs for technical accuracy of delivery and execution.
Skills / Qualifications
  • Bachelor Degree in a Mechanical Engineering or equivalent degree
  • 10 to 15 yeas of experience in the field of rotating equipment maintenance in the oil and gas industry, with preference to upstream operations
