Mechanical Resident Engineer - UAE

Key Responsibilities

Manage the mechanical engineering portfolio of substation projects, ensuring adherence to technical specifications, HSE requirements, and project budget. Supervise the execution of mechanical works on-site, including FPS, HVAC, MEP systems, and lifting equipment, ensuring compliance with approved designs and standards. Monitor and report construction progress, identify and manage non-conformances, and ensure timely resolution. Plan, organize, and supervise all mechanical engineering and construction inspection activities. Ensure safety protocols are implemented and enforced in compliance with industry regulations and standards. Act as the key technical interface with clients, stakeholders, and contractors. Verify and document installed quantities, ensuring proper project closeout and handover. Support the commissioning and testing of mechanical systems, ensuring readiness for operation. Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to resolve technical issues on-site.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor's Degree (BE) in Mechanical Engineering (mandatory). 10+ years of relevant mechanical engineering experience working in projects across the Middle East. Strong understanding of substation-related mechanical systems, including FPS, HVAC, MEP, and lifting equipment. Experience in site supervision, technical reporting, inspection, and project closeout. Knowledge of international mechanical engineering standards and regulations. Excellent communication, coordination, and leadership skills.
