We are seeking an experienced

Mechanical Planning Engineer

with strong expertise in

Tank Construction projects

within the

Oil & Gas industry

. The candidate will be responsible for planning, scheduling, progress monitoring, and coordination of mechanical construction activities to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare detailed

project schedules

, work programs, and resource plans for tank construction works Develop

baseline schedules

, manpower histograms, and equipment deployment plans Monitor project progress and prepare

weekly/monthly progress reports

Coordinate with construction, engineering, QA/QC, and procurement teams Analyze schedule delays and propose

recovery plans

Ensure planning compliance with project specifications, codes, and safety standards Support project management with

cost control, forecasting, and planning updates

Attend progress meetings and liaise with clients and consultants as required

Key Requirements

B.E. in Mechanical Engineering 7-12 years of experience in

Oil & Gas projects

, specifically

storage tank construction

Strong knowledge of tank erection, welding, hydrotesting, and commissioning activities Proficiency in

Primavera P6 / MS Project

and planning tools Good understanding of project controls, scheduling, and reporting Excellent coordination and communication skills

Preferred Skills

Experience in EPC / Oil & Gas contracting companies Familiarity with international codes & standards (API, ASME, etc.) Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
