The Mechanical Foreman is responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of the mechanical team on-site, ensuring that all mechanical works (HVAC, plumbing, fire fighting, etc.) are executed according to approved drawings, specifications, and safety standards, while maintaining project schedules and quality requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and lead a team of mechanical technicians, plumbers, and pipe fitters.
Plan and organize daily work schedules based on project priorities.
Ensure that installation and maintenance of all mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, drainage, fire fighting, etc.) are carried out as per drawings and specifications.
Coordinate with other trades (electrical, civil, etc.) to avoid site conflicts.
Inspect and verify materials, tools, and equipment needed for work execution.
Report daily progress, manpower, and material usage to the site engineer or project manager.
Ensure that all work is carried out in compliance with safety procedures and site regulations.
Assist in testing and commissioning of mechanical systems.
Identify and resolve on-site technical issues in coordination with the engineer.
Support handover activities and ensure all mechanical works are completed and documented properly.
Qualifications and Experience:
Minimum
2-5 years
of experience in MEP/construction projects in a similar supervisory role.
Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and fire fighting systems.
Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications.
Good leadership and communication skills.
Familiarity with safety standards and regulations.
