POSITION
Mechanical Engineer
LOCATION
Private Estate | UAE
The Client will arrange work visa and relocation if not local, where applicable.
PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for overseeing, maintaining, and optimising all mechanical systems across a prestigious private estate. This includes HVAC systems, pumps, water systems, swimming pool and spa equipment, fire protection systems, and mechanical utility infrastructure. The role ensures all systems operate efficiently, safely, and in alignment with luxury living standards, UAE regulations, and technical best practice, while supporting estate upgrades, installations, and ongoing maintenance operations.
QUALIFICATIONS / CERTIFICATIONS / LICENSES
- Bacheloru0027s degree in mechanical engineering - mandatory
- Registered with UAE Society of Engineers (SOE) - mandatory
- HVAC, Chiller Maintenance, Fire Fighting Systems, or MEP certifications - preferred
- Valid UAE Driving License - preferred
EXPERIENCE
- 5-8 yearsu0027 mechanical engineering experience
- Minimum 3 years within luxury residential, private estates, hospitality, or villa environments (UAE/GCC)
- Proven experience maintaining HVAC and mechanical utility systems
- Experience supervising contractors and service providers
- Exposure to energy optimisation and system efficiency projects
- Experience supporting new installations, fit-outs, or refurbishments
KEY SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
- Advanced knowledge of central & split AC systems, chillers, and cooling towers
- Strong understanding of ventilation systems and indoor air quality standards
- Experience maintaining compressors, air handlers, ductwork, and controls
- Expertise in pumps, filtration systems, hot water systems, and booster sets
- Knowledge of sewage systems and greywater recycling systems
- Familiarity with swimming pool, spa, and fountain mechanical systems
- Strong preventive maintenance planning capability
- Troubleshooting and fault-diagnosis expertise
- Familiarity with FM200, sprinkler systems, fire pumps, and pressurisation systems
- Ability to review technical drawings, BOQs, and mechanical specifications
- Strong documentation and reporting skills
- High attention to detail within confidential estate environments
- Ability to respond calmly and effectively to emergencies
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee all mechanical systems across villas and estate buildings
- Maintain HVAC systems to ensure optimal climate control
- Monitor and maintain pumps, water systems, and utility infrastructure
- Supervise swimming pool, spa, and fountain mechanical operations
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules
- Diagnose mechanical faults and coordinate urgent repairs
- Ensure fire protection systems meet UAE Civil Defence compliance
- Review and support mechanical scope for new projects and upgrades
- Liaise with consultants, contractors, and suppliers
- Manage spare parts inventory and mechanical asset registers
- Prepare maintenance reports, inspection logs, and compliance documentation
- Support energy efficiency initiatives and cost-saving programs
- Maintain discretion and professionalism within occupied luxury residences

AED 4,000 - 8,000 per month - Depending on experience
