'Mechanical Engineer- SIG Specialist' urgently required for Dairy company Plant at Muscat Oman

Job Purpose: This position is responsible for the Planning and execution of preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of SIG Filling Lines and UHT equipment and other Processing equipment. Which includes scheduled maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of all mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment including processing equipment, separators, Homogenizers, PHEs, Tanks, motors, pumps, agitators, valves and valve matrix and conveyor systems by following standard GMP practices of Dairy plant.

Task

Support Production Process: Evaluate all engineering drawings and ensure implementation according to engineering (mechanical) specifications. Designing, testing, perfecting, and maintaining products, machinery and equipment. Ensure mechanical operations, standards and controls are maintained at high quality. Oversee performing of all fabrication/welding work including moulding fixtures as required. Check equipment and operating systems and correct wherever necessary. Analyzing machine test results using diagnostic software to adjust for optimal performance. Ensure Meticulous Records of Machine Service History are maintained. Ensure adequate support for production with reduced instances of equipment breakdowns. Address breakdowns urgently to get production back on track.

Preventive Maintenance

Design, implement and maintain preventive as well as predictive maintenance programs with the help of the maintenance team. Repair and perform preventive maintenance on machines as per established standards to avoid machine downtime. Planned maintenance and scheduled shutdown, maintenance schedules with associated timelines. Lower instances of unscheduled shutdown leading to reduced production losses. Curative Maintenance Investigate and resolve technical problems within stipulated timelines with the help of a competent team. Oversee diagnosing the issue for malfunctioning machines, and ensure repair work within stipulated time. Help troubleshoot electrical controls for machines. Address faults in equipment and machines in a time bound manner. Quality Control

Ensure plant quality performance standards are maintained.

Monitor and control maintenance standards with the department. Ensure plant and equipment function as per documented performance standards. Other Tasks

External Vendors and suppliers 5. Person Specification (Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience) Education Level - Minimum Requirement Diploma in Mechanical Engineering. Professional Qualifications Bachelor's degree preferred. Work Experience

Overall experience of 5 to 8 years in manufacturing and Plant Maintenance experience in an FMCG company/Dairy Plant Experience in overseeing manufacturing of dairy products will be preferred. Experience with cultured products is a huge plus. Strong understanding of the Middle East, especially Oman. Job Specific Skill

Strong working experience in these machines are preferred, SIG

Combi bloch filling machines, Mariani down line equipment, Cheese and Ice cream filling and packing lines. Proven experience in Dairy filling equipment like, SIG Combibloc, Gable top fillers, Novapac Tetra Top fillers, Gasti pot fillers, Bottles Fillers, Tetra Flex Process aseptic, APV tube Processing, Tetra Drink, APV Juice, PMO pasteurizers, CIP systems preferred. Hands on experience in the maintenance and troubleshooting of Pasteurizer, Homogenizer, separators, Pumps and valves Hands on experience in UHT fillers like SIG Combibloc, Tetrapak fillers Hands on experience in downline equipment like crate washer, conveyors, packing equipment crate packers Intimate knowledge of maintenance requirements in agribusiness/dairy/FMCG production environment. Capacity to create and implement plant maintenance plans at the production site. Experience with GMP, Quality, Environmental, Safety, and Employment Standards regulatory requirements. Excellent written & verbal communication / presentation skills. Team player with excellent motivational skills. Generic Skills
