Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical Engineer with a strong background in port equipment maintenance. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing preventive and corrective maintenance on Ship-to-Shore (STS) cranes, Rubber-Tired Gantry (RTG) cranes, and Rail-Mounted Gantry (RMG) cranes. The role requires expertise in mechanical systems, including wire ropes, trolley wheels, gantry wheels, sheaves, and rail systems, as well as the ability to read and interpret hydraulic drawings.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on STS, RTG, and RMG cranes.

- Perform wire rope, trolley wheel, gantry wheel, and sheave replacements.

- Oversee long and short rail replacement and alignment.

- Read, interpret, and troubleshoot hydraulic system drawings.

- Diagnose and repair mechanical failures in port equipment.

- Ensure compliance with safety standards and maintenance protocols.

- Collaborate with electrical engineers and technicians for integrated maintenance tasks.

- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment conditions.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

- Minimum of 3+ years of experience in port equipment maintenance (STS, RTG, RMG cranes).

- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including wire ropes, wheels, sheaves, and rail systems.

- Proficiency in reading and interpreting hydraulic drawings.

- Familiarity with safety standards and maintenance best practices.

- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Skills:

- Experience with crane maintenance software or diagnostic tools.

- Certification in mechanical or hydraulic systems maintenance.
