Role Summary
The Mechanical Engineer will be involved in construction supervision and project coordination activities related to mechanical systems across infrastructure projects. The role supports project managers and senior engineers in ensuring quality, safety, and compliance throughout execution and handover.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate and support site supervision, design review, planning, project monitoring, and testing and commissioning activities
Advise the project management team and client on technical matters related to procurement, installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical equipment
Attend factory acceptance tests and site tests required for project completion and authority handover
Assist in defining scopes of work, schedules, and budgets for assigned project elements and monitor progress against approved plans
Identify, document, and support management of changes in scope and related impacts
Coordinate with procurement and subcontract teams to support bid processes and technical evaluations
Support interdisciplinary coordination with other engineering disciplines and technical support teams
Assist the Project Manager in planning, directing, supervising, and controlling technical and administrative project functions
Prepare technical reports, documentation, and correspondence for clients and internal project teams
Review, analyze, and circulate technical and contractual information to relevant disciplines
Perform other duties associated with construction supervision as required
Candidate Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institution
Knowledge of construction supervision related to pumping stations, firefighting systems, chilled water networks, and utility projects
Understanding of applicable industry standards, authority regulations, and safety requirements
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
Good communication skills and interest in construction site engineering activities
