Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced

Mechanical Design Engineer

with a strong background in mechanical design for building systems. The ideal candidate must hold a

UPDA Grade A certification

and demonstrate expertise in designing HVAC, plumbing, and firefighting systems in accordance with local and international standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the mechanical design process for various building projects, including commercial, residential, and industrial developments. Prepare and review detailed mechanical drawings, specifications, calculations, and BOQs. Ensure compliance with Qatar Construction Standards (QCS), ASHRAE, NFPA, and other applicable codes. Coordinate with architects, electrical engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate mechanical systems into the overall design. Review and approve subcontractor and vendor mechanical design documents and equipment selections. Provide technical support during project execution, including attending site meetings and resolving design-related issues. Ensure all mechanical designs are optimized for efficiency, sustainability, and cost-effectiveness. Supervise and mentor junior mechanical engineers and CAD technicians.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master's degree is a plus).

Valid UPDA Grade A certification

from MMUP (Ministry of Municipality and Urban Planning) in Qatar is

mandatory

. Minimum of

10 years

of relevant experience in mechanical design, with at least 3 years in Qatar. Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, HAP, and other mechanical design software. Excellent knowledge of local regulations and international mechanical standards. Strong leadership, communication, and project coordination skills. Fluency in English (Arabic is an advantage).
